1. How did you first discover Versailles, and what drew you to them?

I discovered Versailles when I googled lolita fashion. I ended up on one of La Carmina's blog entries, which had a picture of Versailles (revenant choir era) in their first costume marching forward. I fell in love with their costumes and image immediately, more specifically Hizaki's. I wasn't shocked to know that they were all guys (when you've see Mana in lolita, Japanese guys crossdressing shouldn't come as a shock anymore) but I was in awe at how gorgeous Hizaki looked. There was a link to the revenant choir youtube video from the entry, so I listened to it, and I loved the instrumentals so much (Kamijo's vocals took a little getting used to lol) because I love the unique blend of classical music and rock music in symphonic rock! So I googled them, downloaded their music and everything else is history.
(So although La Sardina is the bane to all lolitas, she has at least done one good deed for me)

2. How did you come up with your LJ username?

lol I seriously can't remember! Might be from a name generator of some sort.

3. OMG! someone evil switched your body and Hizaki's. unfortunately it was during a live, you can't play the guitar that well. upon opening your eyes you see the rest of Versailles and the audience staring at you and very confused. what do you do? a. pretend to faint b. tell the truth c. run! d. (own answer?)

The logical answer would be to pretend to faint. But that would be boring :D. So I'll do Fanservice with Kamijo!!! Jump on him, hug him, kiss him, ask him to bite my neck lolz (and I swear this is not to my personal interest. we want the audience to go away with nice memories even if the live ends halfway right?) After that, I'll stage dive! And then I'll pretend to faint while climbing back on stage. When I 'regain consciousness, I'll ask Warner to give me a month's off because I'm too stressed up (hence the nuttiness on stage), Then I'll fly back home and probably find Hizaki confusing my poor mother in Japanese. Together, we'll look for the evil person to give him a bouquet of roses in thanks for his kindness and beat the crap out of him so he will switch us back. Hizaki and I will be the best of friends and he will send me the best live and event tickets and also Versailles merch and CDs for free for the rest of my life. Oh joy!

4. What's your favorite dessert?

Japanese green ice cream! It's not toothachingly sweet and it's smooth and soft! It also gives me the delusion that I'm eating a healthy dessert lol.

5. What's your dream dress?

I want to say Hizaki's Btssb dress but I don't like to state impossible dreams. So I'll go with Kaya's btssb collab dress! It looks like Baby will have plans to release it! At a monstrous price, no doubt, but unlikely to be as much of a horror as Hizaki's costumes (Death Trap ID quoted several thousand SGD for one of the old dresses. Yes I checked).

I finally ripped Ascendead Master to my ipod yesterday so I could listen to it clearly. Honestly, I think Ascendead Master is Versailles' greatest masterpiece to date. When I listen to Ascendead Master and Gekkakou, i feel a surge of adrenaline in my body, no matter how many times I've looped the songs (which is a great number of times). Ascendead Master is truly power metal at its best. Kamijo's voice rolls grandly deep and sexy, Yuki's drumming is so powerful and fast paced (poor guy must look even more maniacal than ever at a live performance), Jasmine's bass is rich, setting an atmosphere of grandiose. The 2 guitars have sophisticated solos and duets in perfect harmony.

Although I'm a little appalled that Hizaki's lyrics are 'inspired' by Harry Potter, they fit in seamlessly with the song. Kamijo delivers them perfectly. I can imagine him terrorzing someone whenever he shouts those lyrics.

I can't wait for the new Versailles album to be out! I'm sure it will be epic! I'm also looking forward to a new PV~!

I just watched the Ascendead Master movie too. It was surprisingly good for such a short movie like this. I like the concept of vampires heading a life insurance company. I think it can be expanded to make a full-length survival horror / mystery / supernatural movie with lots more blood, zombies, vampires etc...

Sadly, everyone got very little screen time, except Kamijo who spoke like a creeper (I know he's trying to be a scary vampire but his original aristocratic mellow voice is so much better!) which totally gave me to the goosebumps. And... maybe I think too much, but... he reminds me of a paedophile, while the little girl reminded me of 'Lolita' (the book). I think it's got to do with her russian ancestry lol

I love Teru's 'disturbed artist' role best. he looked appropriately melancholic and he just looks so cute in that artist get up. I liked the artworks in the movie too. They look familiar. I wonder who is the artist who did them. And he did them himself!!! Some people just have all the luck to have so many talents!!! T_T Couldn't make out what Jasmine was saying =_= but if he did the 'old witch croaking' voice, the effect was actually quite decent.

Oh Hizaki... XD My friend and I agree that it's unnatural for a nun to have that much make-up! Besides, he seemed completely disjointed from his fleeting scenes lasting a few seconds. poor girl was confessing her sins to him and he didn't even seem to be listening! I thought of a storyline that would be more suitable for him. He can be the nice, elegant lady who comes to fetch the little girl on behalf of Kamijo, so that Kamijo doesn't have to look like a paedophile lol. He can wear a rose in his hair, and detach it and give it to the little girl and say 'do you like roses' (yes with plural please).

The Godless sentiment may be a tad rebellious though, especially since they are tryiing to reach out to the international scene. I can imagine some Christians getting mad over this. And of course, the Vatican City's going to hate this more than Harry Potter. But anyway, it's just a story... so everyone should take it with a pinch of salt.

All in all, pretty cool movie, and I look forward to see more in future, but they need to tell their story from their own point of view instead of another person's! We want more Versailles! >,<

I saw this while logging into my photobucket today. It's so adorable~ I miss owning hamsters <3



This is my new guitar which I bought 2 days ago. It's such a lovely black~ so in the end I didn't manage to get the Black Burst Maestro that I was previously eyeing. But this one is really cheap (130sgd only!) and even after buying a tuner, padded carrier and picks, the total cost is still cool with my budget!

My friend thinks it looks like a black box, which led me to think its texture and colour resembles that of a coffin, so I call it 死ぬ Shinu. 死ぬちゃん! It means 'die' in Japanese. lol what a morbid name, but I'm not Japanese and therefore not superstitious about it so I don't care.

Oh dear Hizaki I can't believe u let Voldemort into your head too. That's ok I like Harry Potter too *whee for HP fans* but in future, stick to composition and leave the lyrics to Kamijo. kthxbye.
