26th-Oct-2009 04:10 pm - Japanese Lessons #15 - Superstitions
Hizaki
I'm back to posting Japanese lesson notes again after a long period of hiatus.

My lesson notes are transcribed from audio lessons on Japanesepod101.com. I'm compiling them for my own reference. Feel free to learn from them too and discuss, but don't repost them anywhere. Words that have already been mentioned in past lesson posts will not be explained. I won't romanize the words either. If you're serious about learning Japanese, you should start by memorizing the hiragana and katakana tables. It's not difficult.

30th-Aug-2009 01:57 am - Lolita Buy & Sell
Hizaki
My wish list for my WTT trade post on [info]egl_comm_sales. Don't comment unless you're selling something that I want.

Brand or off-brand are fine, as long as they are good quality.

# A-line(is this the right term?) skirts with classical prints: Example

# JSKs with classical prints, preferably dark colours: Example

# Form-fitting long-sleeved blouses (preferably with adjustable strings at the back to tighten), high collar blouses, preferably black, white and pastel. Baby's long sleeves are just too baggy on me -_- Example

# Form-fitting short-sleeved classical blouses with sleeves at least 23cm long Example

# Black Elbow-length Mantle Example

# Classical headdress with roses Example Would prefer it to be tied on under the chin because for the life of me, I can't pin things to my head.

I did wardrobe clearance and I'm selling a lot of lolita stuff here. Please take a look!

17th-Aug-2009 12:59 pm - Versailles is not disbanding!
Hizaki
For the first time after Jasmine's death, I listened to Versailles' music again. I cried on the first listen to The Revenant Choir as I imagined the PV being played back in my head, with all 5 of the members marching forward in those costumes that amazed me so much. I couldn't help thinking that I would never see such a magnificent sight again.

But today, there was a positive message on their OHP as translated here which indicates that Versailles will continue what they started off with. That's a huge load off my heart. I'm sure Jasmine's spirit must be glad too.

Anyone who wants to show support to Versailles should consider contributing letters etc to [info]weloveyuu project. It's a project to show tribute to Jasmine as well as to encourage the band. Anything is fine, as long as it contains your goodwill. Along with the card and paper cranes i made for Jasmine before he passed away (sigh), I also sent letters to each band member and made origami. Consequently, I picked up some new Japanese and origami.

I feel happier now.

And we got new spacious, compartmentalized work desks at the office. Hooray for more privacy, more space and no dead bugs in the drawers :)
